About Semler Group

Semler Gruppen is Denmark’s largest family-owned car importer with more than 1,300 people employed.

Semler Gruppen is the collective name for the many different companies that are owned by Semler Holding A/S. Semler Gruppen is owned by the Christiansen, Mourier and Nielsen families, all of whom are descendents of brothers Axel and Johannes Semler. Together with their father, Eiler Semler, they founded Skandinavisk Motor Co. A/S back in 1917.

The companies are briefly described below.

Skandinavisk Motor Co. A/S

Skandinavisk Motor Co. A/S imports Volkswagen cars and vans, Audi, SEAT, ŠKODA and Porsche.

SMC-Biler A/S

SMC-Biler A/S is a nationwide retail chain consisting of 13 businesses that sell and service Semler Gruppen’s brands.    

Semler Audi Detail A/S

Semler Audi Detail A/S handles a exclusive Audi retail chain with eight businesses in Denmark.

Semler Services A/S

Semler Services A/S handles service and administrative tasks for the companies within Semler Gruppen and supplies the Danish auto industry with a range of services.
