Associated companies

Long-term partnerships have always been a significant aspect of Semler Gruppen’s business philosophy. In fact, Semler Gruppen’s largest subsidiary, Skandinavisk Motor Co. A/S, was originally established as a joint venture between the Semler family and the founders of Smith & Co (SCO Bicycles). 

Semler Gruppen’s current joint venture companies consist of a number of companies and Semler Gruppen holds seats on the board of directors of all of the companies.

It is important to Semler Gruppen that the level of expertise within the partnerships is high and that the expertise is clearly distributed between the partners. Equally, it is essential that the partnerships are based on a clear and common vision for the partnership and, in particular, an obvious desire to make an active contribution to the partnership in order to ensure long-term success.
