Semler Gruppen has more than 100 years of experience. This gives us a solid foundation from which to bridge the gap to tomorrow’s mobility solutions.
Semler Gruppen’s history goes back to 1917, when brothers Axel and Johannes Semler founded Skandinavisk Motor Co. with their father, Eiler Semler.
Today, Semler Gruppen has a staff of approximately 2,800 dedicated employees, working from a number of divisions.
In addition to the original import business, Semler Gruppen now covers the agriculture sector and tomorrow’s mobility concepts.

Semler Gruppen employs approximately 2,800 people, and in 2022 the group sold 26.4% of all newly registered vehicles in Denmark. Therefore, environment and climate are obviously a high priority for the group.
As the country’s largest vehicle importer, we take our responsibility for the climate and the environment seriously. For instance, we have a stated climate policy with a target for 35% of all vehicles we import and sell to be zero-emission vehicles by 2025.
